Approximately six months of residency are spent exclusively in pediatric urology at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite Hospital and Egleston Hospital Campuses. Children’s Hospital of Atlanta is consistently ranked as one of the top pediatric hospitals in the United States and serves as a referral center for the entire Southeast with several nationally recognized programs including the AFLAC Cancer Center, the Cystic Fibrosis Center and the Sibley Heart Center. The pediatric urology service is a US News and World Report top 10 program with approximately 4,000 pediatric urology surgeries performed annually. Children’s at Egleston is located on the Emory University campus. It is the largest (278 beds) and most comprehensive pediatric hospital in Georgia, offering bone marrow and solid organ transplantation, cardiothoracic surgery; and is a level 1 trauma center.
Children’s at Scottish Rite is located in North Atlanta with 273 inpatient beds (including 39 ICU Beds) and over 15,000 surgeries (inpatient and outpatient) performed annually. There are 27 single-specialty outpatient clinics and 13 multi-specialty clinics for treating complex conditions such as spina bifida.
